In 2016, we lost a friend and a huge advocate of what we were trying to achieve in Tiny Steps.
From that date, we wanted to remember him and decided to set an annual event to remember his legacy and the ‘Dave Holman’ challenge was born. This has become one of our favourite events as it appeals to all of Dave's friends, colleagues and family and a opportunity to remember him.
The annual event has seen heroic feats such as
- Walking 4 stadiums starting at Anfield to Goodison Park to Old Trafford and finishing at the Etihad.
- The 37-mile Wirral Walk
- Walking from Wales to Davenham
- Preston to Blackpool
- Sandstone Trail Rivers & Canals of Cheshire
The Dave Holman Challenge takes place every year in the summer – get in touch if you’d like to be involved or understand more.

On 13th July 2026, it will be 10 years since we lost Dave in a tragic road traffic accident at just 38 years old.
Not a day goes by that he isn’t loved, missed and remembered. His smile, laughter, kindness and the memories we shared remain with us every day.
To honour Dave’s memory, family and friends will once again take part in the annual Dave Holman Tiny Steps Walk on 11th July, supporting a charity that meant so much to him.
This year we are hoping to raise £10,000 to mark 10 years. Thank you to everyone who continues to support the walk, donate and help keep Dave’s memory alive.
Dave, you are loved beyond words, missed beyond measure, and never forgotten ❤️
